Day 1: Amritsar to Manali (Approx. 10–11 hrs drive)

Your journey to the Himalayas begins with an early morning departure from Amritsar. Enjoy the scenic drive through Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and Mandi as you make your way towards Manali, the gateway to the mountains. On reaching Manali by evening, check into your hotel and relax after the long journey. If time permits, take a short stroll on Mall Road. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 2: Manali to Kaza via Rohtang and Kunzum Pass (Approx. 9–10 hrs)

Today is the most adventurous leg of the journey. Post an early breakfast, begin your drive from Manali to Kaza, the capital of Spiti Valley. En route, cross the spectacular Rohtang Pass (3,978 m) and the mighty Kunzum Pass (4,590 m). The terrain dramatically changes from lush green valleys to stark mountain deserts. On arrival in Kaza, check into your hotel or guesthouse and rest. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 3: Kaza – Key Monastery – Kibber Village – Chicham Bridge

After breakfast, begin exploring the hidden treasures of Spiti. Start with a visit to the stunning Key Monastery, one of the largest and most iconic monasteries in Spiti. Then drive to Kibber Village, one of the highest motorable villages in the world. Continue to the thrilling Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge, offering breathtaking views of the deep gorge below. Return to Kaza by evening. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 4: Kaza – Langza – Hikkim – Komic – Local Exploration

Today, embark on the high-altitude village circuit. Begin with Langza, famous for its ancient marine fossils and a large Buddha statue facing the valley. Next, visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, and drop a postcard to your loved ones. End the day at Komic, the world’s highest motorable village. Return to Kaza and enjoy some local food or explore the local market. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 5: Kaza to Chandratal Lake (Approx. 6–7 hrs)

After breakfast, drive towards the spellbinding Chandratal Lake, known as the “Moon Lake” due to its crescent shape. The route is scenic and raw, filled with mountain vistas and river crossings. From the parking area, a short trek of around 1.5 km takes you to the lake. Spend your time taking in the peaceful surroundings and watching the lake reflect the changing colors of the sky. Stay overnight in tents near Chandratal (at a fixed campsite).

Day 6: Chandratal to Manali (Approx. 7 hrs)

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over Chandratal. After breakfast, start your drive back towards Manali, once again crossing Kunzum Pass and descending through Batal and Gramphu. Reach Manali by late afternoon or evening and check into your hotel. Relax after a long drive or enjoy a final evening in the hill town. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 7: Manali to Amritsar (Approx. 10–11 hrs drive)

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Amritsar, retracing the scenic Himalayan and Punjab plains route. Arrive in Amritsar by evening, bringing your memorable 7-day Spiti Valley expedition to a beautiful conclusion.
