Day 1: Amritsar to Haridwar (Approx. 7–8 hrs by road/train)

Begin your spiritual journey from Amritsar with a drive or train ride to Haridwar, the holy gateway to the Himalayas. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, attend the famous Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, a serene and spiritually uplifting experience. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 2: Haridwar to Joshimath (Approx. 9–10 hrs drive)

After breakfast, proceed towards Joshimath, a small Himalayan town that serves as the base for Hemkunt Sahib. The route passes through Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag, where you’ll witness the beautiful confluences of sacred rivers. Reach Joshimath/Govindghat by evening and check into a hotel. Overnight stay in Joshimath or nearby.

Day 3: Joshimath to Govindghat to Ghangaria (Drive + Trek)

Today begins the actual Yatra. Drive from Joshimath to Govindghat (approx. 1 hr). From there, start the 13 km trek to Ghangaria, the base village for Hemkunt Sahib. You can walk, take a mule, or use helicopter services (subject to availability). Enjoy the stunning views of alpine forests and river valleys. On reaching Ghangaria, check into your lodge or guesthouse. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 4: Ghangaria to Hemkunt Sahib & Return (Trek – 6 km one way)

Wake up early and begin the steep 6 km trek to Hemkunt Sahib (4,633 meters), a revered Sikh pilgrimage site located near a glacial lake and surrounded by snow-clad peaks. After darshan and ardas at the Gurudwara and a holy dip in the lake (if weather allows), descend back to Ghangaria by afternoon. Relax and recover. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 5: Ghangaria to Govindghat to Rudraprayag (Trek + Drive)

After breakfast, trek down to Govindghat and then begin your return journey. Drive towards Rudraprayag, one of the Panch Prayags (confluences) of the Alaknanda River. Arrive by evening and check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.

Day 6: Rudraprayag to Haridwar (Approx. 6–7 hrs drive)

Post breakfast, drive back to Haridwar. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. You may revisit Har Ki Pauri or explore the local temples and markets. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 7: Haridwar to Amritsar (Return – Approx. 7–8 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and return to Amritsar by road or train. Reach by evening, concluding your 7-day spiritual Hemkunt Sahib Yatra with divine peace and Himalayan memories in your heart.
