Day 1: Chandigarh to Manali (Approx. 8–9 hrs)

Your journey begins from Chandigarh, where you’ll hit the road toward Manali, the gateway to the Himalayas. Drive through the scenic towns of Bilaspur, Sundernagar, and Mandi, with beautiful river and mountain views en route. Reach Manali by evening and check into your hotel. You can spend the evening relaxing or taking a stroll on Mall Road. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 2: Manali – Acclimatization & Local Sightseeing

Today is for acclimatization to help your body adjust to the altitude before entering Spiti. After breakfast, explore local Manali attractions such as Hadimba Temple, Vashisht Hot Springs, and Old Manali. You may also visit Solang Valley for a taste of adventure activities like paragliding or ziplining (optional). Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 3: Manali to Kaza via Rohtang and Kunzum Pass (Approx. 9–10 hrs)

Start early for an exhilarating drive to Kaza, the headquarters of Spiti Valley. En route, cross the famous Rohtang Pass (3,978 m) and the breathtaking Kunzum Pass (4,590 m). The transition from lush green valleys to barren, high-altitude desert landscapes is truly mesmerizing. Arrive in Kaza by evening and check into a homestay or guesthouse. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 4: Kaza – Key Monastery – Kibber – Chicham Bridge

After breakfast, head out to explore the spiritual and architectural marvels of Spiti. Visit the Key Monastery, one of the largest and oldest in the valley, perched dramatically on a hilltop. Then drive to Kibber Village, once considered the highest motorable village in the world. Continue onward to Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge. Return to Kaza by evening. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 5: Kaza – Langza – Hikkim – Komic (Village Circuit)

Begin your day with an exploration of the Spiti village circuit. Drive to Langza, famous for its giant Buddha statue and fossil-rich hills. Continue to Hikkim, where you can post a card from the world’s highest post office, and then to Komic, the world’s highest motorable village. Each village offers unique culture, architecture, and stunning mountain views. Return to Kaza and spend the night.

Day 6: Kaza to Chandratal Lake (Approx. 6 hrs)

After breakfast, leave for Chandratal Lake, one of the most picturesque lakes in the Himalayas. Drive through rugged terrain and cross Kunzum Pass once again. From the parking area, take a short trek (approx. 1.5 km) to reach the lake. Marvel at the stunning blue waters of this crescent-shaped lake, surrounded by barren hills and snow peaks. Spend the night at a campsite near Chandratal, under the starry sky.

Day 7: Chandratal to Manali (Approx. 7 hrs)

Wake up to a magical sunrise over the Himalayas. After breakfast, begin the journey back to Manali, descending through Batal, Gramphu, and crossing Rohtang Pass once more. Reach Manali by evening, check in to your hotel, and relax after the adventure-filled journey. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 8: Manali to Chandigarh (Approx. 8–9 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and start your return journey to Chandigarh. Enjoy the drive one last time through the hills and valleys of Himachal Pradesh. Arrive in Chandigarh by evening, bringing your unforgettable Spiti Valley adventure to a scenic and satisfying end.
