Day 1: Chandigarh to Manali (Approx. 8–9 hrs)

Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Chandigarh to Manali, passing through Bilaspur, Mandi, and Kullu. The route runs along the Beas River, offering beautiful views of the Himalayan foothills. Reach Manali by evening and check into your hotel. You can explore the lively Mall Road or relax after the long drive. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 2: Manali Local Sightseeing & Acclimatization

Today is a buffer day for acclimatization, which is essential before you begin your ascent to higher altitudes. Visit nearby attractions like Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Old Manali, and Vashisht hot springs. Optionally, you may visit Solang Valley for light adventure activities. Return to your hotel and rest. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 3: Manali to Jispa via Atal Tunnel (Approx. 6–7 hrs)

Post breakfast, drive to Jispa, a small but stunning village on the Leh–Manali highway. Cross the engineering marvel Atal Tunnel and pass through Sissu, Keylong, and Gondla as the landscape starts to shift from green to alpine desert. On arrival in Jispa, check into your riverside camp or hotel and enjoy the peaceful Himalayan surroundings. Overnight stay in Jispa.

Day 4: Jispa to Leh via Baralacha La & More Plains (Approx. 9–10 hrs)

Today is one of the most exciting and long drives of your tour. Drive through the dramatic and rugged terrain, crossing the Baralacha La Pass (4,890 m), Suraj Tal Lake, Gata Loops, Nakee La, Lachung La, and the More Plains before arriving at Tanglang La Pass (5,328 m). By evening, reach Leh, the heart of Ladakh, and check into your hotel. Rest and acclimatize. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 5: Leh Local Sightseeing – Monasteries & Culture

After a relaxed breakfast, explore the spiritual and cultural heritage of Leh. Visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and Hemis Monastery – one of the wealthiest in Ladakh. Later, visit the Shanti Stupa and enjoy panoramic views of the city. In the evening, walk through Leh Market and shop for handicrafts and Tibetan souvenirs. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 6: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (Approx. 5–6 hrs)

Begin early and drive to the enchanting Nubra Valley via Khardung La (5,359 m) – one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Descend into the valley and visit Diskit Monastery, followed by a Bactrian camel ride on the sand dunes at Hunder. The contrast of sand, snow peaks, and rivers is breathtaking. Overnight stay in a camp/hotel in Nubra Valley.

Day 7: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok Route (Approx. 6–7 hrs)

After breakfast, head to the surreal Pangong Lake, taking the adventurous Shyok route. On arrival, witness the world-famous Pangong Tso, which changes colors with the sunlight – from deep blue to emerald green. Spend the evening by the lake and enjoy an overnight stay in tents or camps near the lake under the stars.

Day 8: Pangong Lake to Leh via Chang La Pass (Approx. 6–7 hrs)

Wake up early to view sunrise at Pangong – a truly magical sight. After breakfast, return to Leh, crossing the challenging Chang La Pass (5,360 m). En route, visit Thiksey Monastery (if missed earlier) or Druk White Lotus School, made famous by the movie “3 Idiots.” Reach Leh by evening and enjoy your final night in the city. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 9: Leh to Sarchu or Jispa (Approx. 8–9 hrs)

Begin your return journey from Leh to Sarchu or Jispa, following the same scenic route through high mountain passes and flatlands. Stop along the way for photos and refreshments. Arrive by evening and check into your campsite or hotel. Overnight stay amidst nature.

Day 10: Jispa/Sarchu to Chandigarh (Approx. 12 hrs)

After an early breakfast, drive back to Chandigarh, completing your once-in-a-lifetime Leh Ladakh road trip. Reach by late evening with unforgettable memories of snow-capped peaks, high passes, turquoise lakes, and warm Ladakhi hospitality.
